We would like to provide a brief update on the state of the league and how we are planning to move forward, should the current restrictions be lifted in the coming weeks.



As it stands right now, the rink is currently open. However, for the time being, playing on it is limited to 4 people at once. This obviously doesn’t work for us, but it is a positive sign, as only a few weeks ago it was completely restricted. It would appear that once the government moves down to the next level, we will be able to resume play.



At this time, the plan is to complete the final two rounds of the Fall season. In order to do this, we would ask that any players on teams that have not been eliminated, who do not intend to play the remainder of the season, please let your captain know asap so that there is ample time for the league to accommodate for depleted rosters. The schedule for the remainder of the fall season will be posted as soon as the government restrictions are lifted.



For those of you that have already been eliminated; fear not, as the week following the finals will see the beginning of the Spring season. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the draft will be held exactly one week after the completion of the Fall campaign. Any players that intend on playing in the Spring are asked to go to the CBHK forum and add their names to the signup thread.



It is imperative that we get rough numbers for the upcoming season as soon as possible so that The Board can organize captains, sponsors etc. well in advance of the draft. Once registration opens, everyone will have a window of 3-4 days to pay league fees. As well, in the event of government mandated cancellations, The Board will be refunding a portion of the league fee at the season’s end.



And finally, there are plans to run a Town Hall meeting, an end of the season Banquet, and a Draft Party, but all are obviously dependent on government decisions.
